From 6 to 8 April, Torino will hosts in via Roma Dolci Portici , an event dedicated to pastry making delicacies. Three days in the city centre – in Via Roma pedestrian area between Piazza Castello and Piazza San Carlo – dedicated to the excellence of confectionery art, handmade production, the cultural aspects of gastronomic spicialities, the processing methods and their traditions.
The season - from October 2017 to June 2018 - is particularly rich and varied, offering spectators much food for thought about the complexities of the world around us; a programme that addresses present-day issues while keeping an eye on possible future developments. 16 productions - of which 5 new executive productions, 6 new co-productions and 5 revivals - 29 guest performances and 24 shows for the Torinodanza festival: this vast programme for the new season confirms the Teatro Stabile di Torino as Italy's second National Theatre..
The Opera and Ballet Season for the Teatro Regio - from 10 October to 8 July 2018 - features 16 productions: 12 operas, three of which with new settings; the famous musical Evita and three spectacular ballets: The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and the Gala Roberto Bolle and Friends. An opera billboard spanning four centuries of great masterpieces, from Monteverdi to Poulnec, under the baton of the most highly acclaimed conductors in the world. Brilliant directors present new dramatisations of operas by Wagner, Strauss, Puccini and Verdi. Important international invitations will take the Teatro Regio to Edinburgh, Gstaad, Muscat and Paris, adding further prestige to the Season.
24 concerts at the Auditorium RAI Arturo Toscanini, broadcast on Rai5 and Radio3. The season opens with Symphonies No. 1 and No. 3 by Brahms, directed by James Conlon, and ends with his Symphonies No. 2 and No. 4.
